Cultural Heritage Center
The King & Dufferin Transformed: Cultural Heritage Center project revitalizes the historic BMO building and adjacent heritage structures to create a vibrant, multifunctional space. It houses a gallery, auditorium, and maker space, all designed to promote multiculturalism and community engagement. The project aims to support the diverse local population by offering educational programs, creative spaces, and cultural events, encouraging social interaction and skill development in a way that honors the area's rich history while fostering its future growth.
It also features a unique transparent glass wall, allowing the exterior audience to observe performances and events inside the auditorium. This design element creates a dynamic connection between the indoor activities and the surrounding public space, encouraging community engagement and curiosity.
